Mayor Elections!
The votes have been totaled and the results are in! This was the most interesting collection of mayor speeches I have seen. All candidates gave great speeches showing that they really understood the job of mayor. One used the unusual prop of a globe to illustrate "having the world in my hands." Another took a satirical approach, giving reasons not to be elected. That person almost won!
The ballots were interesting to read. One person wrote a small novel explaining their vote. Another simply begged for a vote with the word, "Please." I especially enjoyed the hearts written by some of the names by potential admirers. Ah, it's Spring and love is in the air.
You're probably wondering who won. Our next mayor is the sibling of a former student who often goes by the name of a Nintendo character. Can you guess who?
